What changes in Meta Ads with AI in 2026?

Meta's AI already decides who sees each ad, where it appears and which version each person gets, and it's available to any advertiser. That's why the advantage is no longer in using AI, but in the content you give it.

On 6 October 2026, at Advertising Week New York, Meta presented new AI tools for advertisers. And it pointed to a key figure: more than 60% of the time people spend on Facebook and Instagram goes to video.

What Meta puts in everyone's hands

  • Videos created from photos and automatic variations of each ad.
  • An assistant that helps plan and optimize campaigns, and will soon be able to create them just by asking.
  • Before the end of 2026, the option to describe your ideal customer in plain words.

If everyone has the same tools, everyone can produce the same thing. The difference is the judgment with which they're used.

What paying alone won't fix

  • Quality counts in the auction. Meta rates each ad by how people react to it, for example whether they hide it, and by low-quality signals such as sensational language or clickbait. That's why a more relevant ad can beat one with a bigger budget.
  • AI gets labeled. Meta automatically labels ads created or edited with generative AI tools, whether its own or other companies'.
  • People notice. According to IAB (January 2026), 82% of advertising executives believe Gen Z and millennials view AI-made ads favorably, but only 45% of those consumers feel positive about them.
  • What breaks the rules doesn't run. Meta rejects ads that don't meet its advertising standards, even with budget behind them.

What works: one piece, many versions

  • One asset, 20 versions. A real-camera shoot or one of your brand's assets becomes 20 different pieces for your campaigns: other hooks, other formats and other messages, with the same art direction.
  • A version for each country. You choose the market and adapt the people, settings, language and references so each culture recognizes itself in the ad.
  • Several campaigns at once. For new customers, for people who already know you and for each market, each with its own content.
  • Quality checked before publishing. Light, skin, product and text pass through professional visual direction, so nothing looks generic.

Frequently asked questions

Can Meta's AI make my ads on its own?

It generates variations and videos, and will soon be able to create campaigns. But it works with what you give it: if the starting material is poor, it multiplies it.

What is Andromeda?

It's the system Meta uses to choose, among millions of ads, which ones each person can see (Meta, December 2024). AI decides more than ever, so your job is to give it content that deserves to win.

Can you tell when an ad is made with AI?

When it's made without direction, yes. We explain it in Can you tell when an ad is made with AI?

Does the same ad work in every country?

Rarely. We explain it in How do you adapt a brand's visual content to another country?

BlackFrameStudio produces the content for your Meta campaigns: from one piece, dozens of versions adapted to each market, with real camera, AI and visual direction, within its hybrid visual production service. Every project starts with a free initial review.
